Technical review
First I look at what you actually need. Sometimes the right answer is not a new system, but fixing the current one.
Solution design
I describe the scope, technologies, deployment model, data model, operational risks and project boundaries.
Implementation
Development is split into parts. Larger projects are handled through milestones, so it is clear what is done and what is changing.
Deployment
An application does not end with a commit in a repository. Deployment, configuration, domain, TLS and a basic operational check are part of the work.
Handover and maintenance
I hand over the project with documentation. For operated systems, monitoring, backups and ongoing maintenance can be arranged.
